Covenant of Action partners Kirkwood Baptist Church and Harrison Avenue Missionary Baptist Church in suburban St. Louis joined with other churches and groups in their community to host their 12th annual “Hands on Kirkwood,” a one day mission blitz where they “serve God by serving our neighbors.”

The goal of the event is to involve as many people as possible in their community in various projects that “serve neighbors in need, provide opportunities for neighbors to gather for fun and fellowship and serve the community at large.”

This year the projects included electronic recycling and paper shredding, free car checks and bicycle repairs, small home repairs and lot cleanups, food and clothing giveaways, and much more.

The projects and activities sometimes change and evolve from year to year, but the mission never changes. The partners’ desire is to inspire people to make serving others more than a one-day event, but instead a daily occurrence.”
