New Baptist Covenant has been selected to receive a Leadership Development Grant from Leadership Education at Duke Divinity. These grants of up to $50,000 help Christian institutions nurture the leadership of staff and partners in ministry in a yearlong project.
Hannah McMahan, executive director of NBC expressed her excitement and thanks. “We are grateful for the work of Duke Leadership Education and eager to be partners in ministry. This grant will nurture NBC’s network of leaders and will support our mission to advance racial justice in and through the Baptist church.”
Leadership Education aims to create lasting change in U.S. congregations by supporting Christian leaders and the institutions they serve. They design educational services, develop intellectual resources, and facilitate networks of institutions that cultivate a coherent vision of Christian institutional leadership and form Christian leaders. Leadership Education is a non-degree-granting initiative of Duke Divinity School funded by Lilly Endowment Inc. and based in Durham, N.C.
